CTI MOLECULAR GETS FDA OK FOR SCENIUM

Medical imaging products maker CTI Molecular Imaging has reported that its CTI Mirada Solutions unit received clearance from the FDA to market its Scenium software to compare brain scans. The 510(k) clearance, the FDA's clearance mechanism for medical devices with on-the-market equivalents, allows CTI Mirada to market Scenium as a clinician aid to accurately assess and quantify dementia and other neurological diseases from positron emission tomography, or PET, scans.
