Nanospectra Receives Air Force Grant

Nanospectra Biosciences has received a $750,000 grant from the Air Force Office of Scientific Research. Houston-based Nanospectra will use the STTR Phase II grant to continue development of a nanoshell-based Raman sensing platform for the detection of chemical and biological agents. Naomi Halas, Stanley C. Moore Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Professor of Chemistry at Rice University, is the principal investigator under the grant.
