Cook Announces Availability of CODA Balloon Catheter

January 25, 2005

Cook has announced the availability of the CODA balloon catheter to the endovascular market for the temporary occlusion of large blood vessels and expanding vascular prostheses.

CODA helps to optimize stent graft geometry after implantation of an endograft during endovascular aortic repair. It is enhanced by a long, tapered tip design that offers excellent over-the-wire trackability enabling physicians to minimize blood vessel trauma. The bi-lumen shaft is engineered to provide additional support during EVAR procedures and to facilitate rapid balloon inflation and deflation rates.

CODA is constructed with latex-free balloon material to reduce possible allergic reactions in patients with hypersensitivity to latex. The device is currently available for shipment.
