Medicis Amends AaiPharma Joint Venture

Medicis Pharmaceutical has said under an amendment to its dermatology products development joint venture with aaiPharma, it will assume management and development of the project. AaiPharma will continue to assist with the development on a fee-for-service basis. Medicis will have no further financial obligations, but will incur a $9 million charge for R&D expense during the current quarter.
