Indonesia's Kalbe Posts 17 Percent Net Profit Rise for 2004

Leading Indonesian drug producer PT Kalbe Farma has recorded interim net profit of IDR377bn (US$41.02mn) for 2004, a 17 percent increase on the company's full-year 2003 result. Sales rose 18 percent to IDR3.4trn (US$369.98mn), but the company suffered an IDR77bn (US$8.38mn) loss on foreign exchange.
