Switzerland's Roche in Alzheimer's Partnership With Italian Company

Swiss drug major Roche has signed a development deal with Italian discovery firm Lay Line Genomics for Alzheimer's disease. The company will provide the Swiss drugmaker with tissue samples from its experimental transgenic mice research model, known as AD11. The model is understood to exhibit the major symptoms of sporadic Alzheimer's disease. It is hoped that the data from the programme will help Roche identify neural targets for a potential therapy.
