Indonesia's Kalbe Farma Reports 2004 Results

Indonesian drugmaker Kalbe Farma has reported an 18% increase in net annual income to IDR3.4trn (US$367.73mn) in 2004. As reported earlier, profit rose 17% to IDR377bn (US$40.78mn), which the company attributed to the launch of nine new products last year. Kalbe now claims to have maintained its 14% market share in 2004, although the company noted an IDR15bn (US$1.84mn) loss on foreign currency in the year.
