Okamoto Industries Acquires Ichijiku Pharmaceutical as Its Subsidiary

has announced that it has stroke a basic agreement with the major shareholders of Ichijiku Pharmaceutical for a corporate merger scheduled in March. Specifically, Okamoto will acquire 67 percent of the outstanding shares in Ichijiku by early March, making Ichijiku its subsidiary. Through this merger, Okamoto aims to expand its line of business, strengthen its product development capability and improve its management efficiency.
