Ra Medical Completes Patent Infringement Process With PhotoMedex

Ra Medical Systems has announced that it and PhotoMedex have completed an examination process ordered by the federal court magistrate.

The process, part of the patent-in-suit, called for Ra Medical Systems' laser, documentation and specifications to be examined by the court-appointed expert for infringement of PhotoMedex's patents. The expert was instructed by the court to conduct tests, as he deemed appropriate. This process has resulted in the expert's opinion report, which Ra Medical Systems now has. The expert, Clifton Anderson, was chosen by the federal magistrate from a list provided to the court by the parties.

Ra Medical Systems sued PhotoMedex for malicious prosecution in state court in November 2004.
