Xoma Wins $15 Million Contract

Xoma said it has been awarded a $15 million government contract to produce antibodies to fight against biological agents. The 18-month contract was awarded by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases or NIAID, a part of the National Institutes of Health. Under the contract, Xoma will produce three botulinum neurotoxin monoclonal antibody therapeutics using proprietary antibody expression systems.
