Commercial Manufacturing Contract Signed With Halozyme

Avid Bioservices, a wholly owned subsidiary of Peregrine Pharmaceuticals, (PPHM), announced that it has signed a commercial manufacturing supply agreement with Halozyme Therapeutics (HTI). The company anticipates that it will begin manufacturing commercial products under current good manufacturing practice (cGMP) in early March of 2005. Under the terms of the contract, Avid could manufacture up to seven runs per year over the next 2 years.
