UK Against Withdrawing Alzheimer's Drugs

Britain's health minister will submit a report this week, backing drugs for Alzheimer's disease that the UK health watchdog wants withdrawn from the state-run health service, the Observer newspaper reported on Sunday. Britain's cost-effectiveness health watchdog said earlier this month it wants to limit access to the four main drugs used to treat patients with Alzheimer's disease, to the fury of pharmaceutical manufacturers.
