HBM BioVentures Acquires Shares of Aspreva Pharmaceuticals

HBM BioVentures (Cayman) Ltd. announced that it has purchased an additional 3,964,615 common shares of Aspreva Pharmaceuticals Corporation (Aspreva), or approximately 12 percent of such shares outstanding based on the 32,948,378 common shares outstanding on March 3, 2005 in connection with the initial public offering of Aspreva, which closed on March 9, 2005.
