Japan's Canon to Enter Pharmaceutical Business

Canon Inc., a major maker of office equipment and digital cameras, plans to enter the pharmaceutical business, the Nihon Keizai Shimbun reported, citing unidentified company officials. The company plans to alter its corporate charter at its shareholders' meeting tomorrow to allow it to extend its business lines to pharmaceutical operations, the report said.
