Mikasa Seiyaku, Taisho Pharmaceutical to Forge Marketing Alliance

Mikasa Seiyaku and Taisho Pharmaceutical jointly announced that they have concluded a marketing alliance agreement for Sumilu Stick and Sumilu Tape. Launched in 1992 and 2002, respectively, Sumilu Stick and Sumilu Tape are anti-inflammatory and analgesic agents currently marketed by Mikasa Seiyaku. Both contain felbinac as a main ingredient. Under the terms of the agreement, Mikasa Seiyaku and Taisho Toyama Pharmaceutical, a joint venture company established by Taisho Pharmaceutical and Toyama Chemical, plan to initiate sales collaboration within fiscal 2005.
