Toshiba Launches Combined PET/CT Scanner

Toshiba Medical Systems has begun marketing the Aquiduo PCA-7000B, a combined PET/CT (positron emission tomography/computed tomography) scanner with a movable gantry, in Japan. The new product, which features a lutetium oxyorthosilicate (LSO) detector for the PET unit and a 16-multislice CT scanner, can create high-resolution images.
