Biophan, New Scale Announce Patent on SQUIGGLE Motor

Biophan Technologies, a developer of next-generation biomedical technology, and New Scale Technologies, a developer of miniature ceramic motors, have announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has allowed the fundamental patent for the SQUIGGLE motor, a linear motor made of piezoelectric ceramics and other nonmagnetic materials, which achieves nanometer precision. The companies expect the patent will issue in the near future.
