Varian Introduces Salt Tolerant Cold Probe

Varian introduced a revolutionary design in cryogenically cooled probes. The patented Salt Tolerant Cold Probe yields more than 20 percent higher sensitivity in salty samples that mimic physiological conditions. At higher salt concentrations, the sensitivity gain can be even greater, as much as 40 percent. When used with the new Varian NMR System, even better performance can be achieved. The Salt Tolerant Cold Probe is initially geared for 500 and 600 MHz nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectrometers.
