Xsira Pharmaceuticals Licenses Clinical Stage Drug

Xsira Pharmaceuticals announced that it has in-licensed worldwide rights to develop adenosine as an analgesic for the reduction of postoperative pain following surgery. The license includes eight issued U.S. patents and foreign counterparts held by investigators from Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Initial clinical studies of adenosine in the surgical setting have been conducted in over 300 patients under various physician-sponsored investigations in the U.S. and abroad. The terms of the license were not disclosed.
