Pharma Exports to Touch $6 Billion by 2015

Indian pharma exports are projected to grow to $6 billion by 2015 from its current level of less than US$2bn, provided the domestic drugs industry maintain a consistency in its present export growth of 20% per annum, an ASSOCHAM release said on Tuesday. It further said that, the domestic pharmaceutical companies have engaged themselves in upgrading their manufacturing facilities and are also adopting Good Manufacturing Practices, besides obtaining international regulatory approvals from institutions of repute like United States Federal Administration and the like.
