Viagra, Cialis Battle Spills Over to India

India is set to be the next arena for global battle between two of the world's fastest selling erectile dysfunction drugs -- Pfizer's Viagra and Eli Lilly's Cialis. GlaxoSmithkline's (GSK) Levitra is the third of the troika that controls 100 percent of the $3 billion patented global market for erectile dysfunction drugs. While GSK is yet to confirm India plans for Levitra, Eli Lilly is keen on launching Cialis in India with patent protection (it has a Mailbox application pending). Now Pfizer has also readied plans to launch Viagra in India in a bid to revive flagging worldwide sales.
