SKYEPHARMA'S FORADIL GETS GERMAN APPROVAL
June 27, 2005
SkyePharma on Monday said German regulators approved its Foradil Certihaler treatment for asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, making Germany the sixth European country to green-light the drug. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease causes frequent coughing due to excess mucus produced by the lungs. SkyePharma and co-developer Novartis Pharma AG have been seeking regulatory approval for the treatment in Europe on a country-by-country basis since 2002.
