VALEANT DEVELOPS HEPATITIS DRUG FOR JAPAN

Valeant Pharmaceuticals will market its Hepatitis C drug Viramidine in Japan, the company said in a release Monday. The oral treatment was approved for release in Japan during a meeting of the company's Hepatitis C Japanese advisory board in Tokyo Monday evening. The company said Japan is the second largest Hepatitis C market, with 2.3 million people infected.
