INTROGEN BUYS STAKE IN EUROPEAN COMPANY

Introgen Therapeutics Inc. in Austin has invested about $3 million in SR Pharma Plc, a European biotech company. The investment means that Introgen has an 8.3 percent stake in SR Pharma's issued share capital. SR Pharma develops products for oncology and inflammation treatments. Overall, the company raised about $14.5 million from institutional investors.
