SAMARITAN PLANS TO EXPAND ITS BUSINESS TO EUROPE -- APPOINTS EXECUTIVE FOR EUROPEAN OPERATIONS

Samaritan Pharmaceuticals Inc., a developer of innovative drugs, announced today its plans to expand its business to Athens, Greece, (Samaritan Europe), creating a European presence. Samaritan also announced Dr. Christos Dakas, a longtime friend to Samaritan, as being appointed the full-time managing director of Samaritan Europe. He will oversee European operations, including Samaritan Ireland Pharmaceuticals, Limited. Samaritan's main drivers for expansion are easier access to European and developing countries' clinical trial partnerships, European Union development grants, and the expansion of Samaritan's drug discovery and research laboratories.
