COLLAGENEX REPORTS ALLOWANCE FOR PATENT ON ORACEA

CollaGenex Pharmaceuticals has announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has published on its website that U.S. patent application, serial no. 10/117,709, has been allowed.

This patent covers the use of subantimicrobial tetracyclines for treating acne and acne rosacea, including Oracea. CollaGenex submitted a new drug application for Oracea with the FDA on Aug. 1.
