"More than counterfeit drugs, it is high medicine prices that is killing sick Filipinos, depriving them from having proper medication that remains to be priced beyond the reach of ordinary wage-earners." Thus said Roberto Pagdanganan, chairman and president of the government-owned Philippine International Trading Corp., as he hit back at what he termed as deceitful allegations by multinational drug companies that state-imported medicines are less than genuine.
