RANBAXY LAUNCHES ITALIAN OPERATIONS

Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd. on Tuesday announced its entry into the Italian pharmaceutical market with the launch of Ranbaxy Italia S.P.A., a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company. The company will chart an organic growth route and will introduce high quality generic medicines from its extensive international product portfolio by early 2006, Ranbaxy said in a statement.
