ROCHE EXPECTS EU HERCEPTIN CLEARANCE FOR EARLY STAGE BREAST CANCER IN H2 2006

Roche Holding AG said it expects its Herceptin drug to receive EU approval for the treatment of early stage HER-positive breast cancer within the second half of 2006. Roche is making 'considerable efforts to prepare the highest quality filing submission to the EU as early as Q1 2006' and expects an expedited review so that approval could be expected 'within the second half of 2006,' a spokeswoman for the company told AFX.
